Five little birds is a Augmented Cinema and music production by MiE Fielding

Artist and musician MiE (aka Mike Fielding)
is the writer / producer and director of the
3D Immersive 'Live Cinema' production '5 Little Birds'.
An experimental multi surround-sound ,visual & sensual feast combining both live action and digital manipulation.

Based on a true story and set in 2nd World War Northumberland (United Kingdom) 5 Little Birds is an adaptation of the tragic and moving events which engulfed the Robson family from Togston Northumberland, and their five young children on the evening of December 1st 1943.The production takes it's influences from the 20th century art movements Futurism & Vorticm, the music pioneers Edgard Varèse, Luigi Russolo et al and American dance experimentor Loie Fuller.

The work is a digital synthesis of these great artists using 21st Century technology to bring to life a comprehensive ...........'TOTAL  ART'.

'5 Little Birds is a story of human tragedy caught up in a world of consumption and greed ultimately leading to the destruction of both the innocent and a sustainable way of life. The work is used as a strong allegory for the current tragic plight of Britain's farmland birds with each of the Robson children represented by a species that have their own desperate conservation issues :- The Curlew (Sylvia), Grey partridge (Ethel) ,Lapwing (Margery), Corn Bunting (William),  and Skylark (Sheila) - all common in the 1940’s now sadly either extinct or near extinction in Northumberland.  Fielding potrays a powerful and emotional tale that is truly unique in it's technical and sensory attributes'.
